Before applying SurfaPaint™ Epoxy Enamel, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any loose materials. Proper surface preparation significantly enhances adhesion and overall performance. The two components should be mixed thoroughly, following the specified ratio, until a uniform mixture is achieved.

SurfaPaint™ Two-Component Epoxy Paint is a solvent-based, two-component epoxy coating.
It is specially designed for the protection of swimming pools, fountains, and water tanks. It offers excellent resistance to both fresh and salt water, chlorination products, acids, alkalis, and sunscreen oils.

Thanks to its two-component composition, it forms a strong yet flexible film that performs exceptionally well against surface contraction and expansion, high temperatures, and abrasion, helping to maintain color stability over time.

It is self-priming and exhibits strong adhesion to concrete or cement mortar surfaces. It is suitable for both new and previously painted pools.

SurfaPaint™ Pool Epoxy Enamel is an epoxy coating intended for use on cementitious substrates such as pools, tanks, and fountains, where high impact and/or friction loads are present.

SURFACE PREPARATION – PRIMER

It is recommended to apply Epoxy Primer at least 12 hours in advance before applying Surfadur, in order to reduce paint consumption and improve adhesion.

MIXING

Pour component B into component A and mix thoroughly for 3 minutes using a low-speed drill. Ensure that the mixture is blended well along the sides and bottom of the container for proper homogenization. Then, if necessary, dilute with NanoPhos Thinner A (5–10% v/v), depending on the application, desired workability, and substrate absorption.

APPLICATION

Apply using a roller, brush, or airless spray. SurfaPaint™ Pool Epoxy Enamel becomes touch-dry in 2–3 hours and can be recoated after 12 hours. The recoat interval should not exceed 2 days. The pool can be filled with water 7 days after painting, once the coating has fully cured. These times may vary depending on relative humidity and ambient temperature. All tools and equipment must be cleaned immediately after use with NanoPhos Thinner A. Sunlight and UV radiation will cause whitening and discoloration over time. Premature whitening may occur if the water pH is outside the 7.0–7.6 range. Early water contact can lead to premature discoloration, whitening, and blistering. Over-chlorinated water may result in a faded appearance.
